AC Flora/USC graduate Blakely Byrd will celebrate the grand opening of her second business this Saturday, August 12 from 10 am – 5 pm.

The new business, Carolina Cottage, will sell Annie Sloan chalk paint and and repurposed furniture at 346 Ft Jackson Boulevard, across from Whole Foods and Marshalls.

Carolina Cottage will offer workshops to show folks how to turn trash into treasure. It’s about recycling, reinventing and repurposing.  Visit the business’ Facebook page to learn more.

Byrd is a local entrepreneur who opened her first business at 22 years old, fresh out of college.  She recently sold that business, Catch & Release Sportsman Consignment, in May
