Gray Collegiate Academy on Leaphart Road in West Columbia is building a new Football/Soccer stadium. The complex will include a field turf, press box, and lights, according to Todd Helms, Gray’s founder.
The full complex consists of a new science wing with six new classrooms with two college-level chemistry labs, a new basketball arena with a student center, cafeteria, coaches’ offices, training and locker rooms.
The first game on the Gray campus will be the first round of the SC State High School playoffs on Nov. 4.
Helms said 100% of all athletics will be played on campus by this spring.
