Add a third state title won this school year by Gray Collegiate Academy.
This past weekend saw the girls’ track and field team edge Bishop England to win its first-ever Class 2A title.
A year after finishing second to the Lady Bishops, the Lady War Eagles were boosted by first place finishes by Aubrey Gray (100-meter hurdles), Tresta Miller (400 meters) and Tamara Steward (400-meter hurdles).
The Gray Collegiate boys team also had three first place finishes in placing fourth overall. Caleb Raysor swept the hurdle events (110 and 400 meters), and the War Eagles won the 4×100 meter relay.
