Jesus Every Day

Ecclesiastes 3:1-3

As we start each day, we are fortunate to be able to trust what God’s Word says about the seasons of our lives. I have snatched the following three verses out of a long passage by this author.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: 2. a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; 3. a time to Akill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up… Ecclesiastes 3:1-3

Our families change little by little, often unnoticed until someone brings what is obvious to our attention. Some people futilely attempt to cover the early graying spots in their hair. Some have a hard time facing the reality that their money will run out unless significant changes take place. We can think of so many things that show the cycle of life.

When we think of the “time to die” we are wise to ask if God will accept us into an eternity of joy and peace.

And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:27-28

It would be truly great if the vast majority of the human race was eagerly waiting for Jesus Christ to return to receive the believers to the joys that wait in eternity. Perhaps you are not living in a “time to die.” If not, you can get ready by trusting Jesus Christ to be your Savior.

As for me, I am living vibrantly, but ready for “a time to die.”
