For the second consecutive year, Airport High School held its “Midnight Madness” event at Eagle Stadium, marking the official start of the preseason. Under head coach Shane Fidler, this practice has become a cherished tradition for the program.
The Eagles are coming off a season with their highest win total (5) since 2019 and ended a seven-game region losing streak. This year, they will compete in an expanded Region 4-4A, which now includes newcomers Gilbert, Gray Collegiate Academy, and district rival Brookland-Cayce.
Airport High School is set to open the regular season on August 23 at May River.
