At the June 13, 2023 meeting, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Elizabeth C. Marsh as the district’s new procurement director. Marsh currently serves Lexington One as the district’s procurement coordinator.
Marsh is a performance-driven procurement professional with excellent leadership skills and experience. Beginning her career in 2000 through 2014, she had vast experience as a bookkeeper, property coordinator, divisional manager, business manager and administrative secretary in both the private, public and education sectors.
In 2015, she became a temp buyer for the City of Columbia and was promoted to junior buyer for the city in 2016. In December of that year, Marsh joined Ridge View High School in Richland School District Two as the school’s bookkeeper. In 2017, she rejoined the City of Columbia to serve as the capital projects specialist. In 2018, she became the City of Columbia procurement specialist. Later that year, she moved to the South Carolina Judicial Department as the department’s procurement specialist. In 2019, Marsh once again joined the City of Columbia as the city’s procurement manager. She joined the State Fiscal Accountability Authority with the Division of Procurement in 2021, where she was a procurement manager. Marsh joined the Lexington One family in 2023.
Marsh earned an Associate of Arts in Accounting, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Strayer University. She has also received the Supervisory Program Certificate from Midlands Technical College. Marsh holds two national certifications in procurement, CPPB, Certified Professional Public Buyer and NIGP-CPP, Certified Procurement Professional. She is currently serving her second term as the Treasurer for the South Carolina Association of Governmental Procurement Officials, SCAGPO.
