Cayce-West Columbia, SC – The Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce welcomed new leadership and exciting projects at its 2025 Strategic Planning Meeting on Friday. Lindsey Miles, of Miles Insurance Agency, was sworn in for her unprecedented third consecutive term as Board Chair.
The ceremony took place at LS3P architecture and planning firm in West Columbia’s Brookland Development.
New Board Members Announced
Joining Miles on the board are several new members:
- Mark Mossell, Vice President at First Citizens Bank – Chamber Treasurer
- Kathleen Hoover, Owner-Operator of PAG Marketing – Chamber Secretary
- JB Beckett, Founder of Becket Financial Group – Chamber Vice Chair
- Thomas Tafel, Immediate Vice Chair from Lexington Medical Center
Additionally, returning board members include:
- Chuck Underhill, House of Raeford
- Marci Delaney, SPA MD
- Oliver Moore, First Community Bank
- Andrew Baumgartner, Savage Ale Works
Major Developments Ahead
West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles spoke at the meeting, sharing updates on upcoming developments, including the Capitol Square project on Sunset Boulevard. The project is expected to attract major retailers, and more details will be shared in the coming weeks.
Chamber President and CEO Tim James emphasized the diversity of businesses represented by the new board and the dedication of these professionals to growing tourism and business programs in the area.
Growth and Success
Columbia Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Carl Blackstone also spoke, highlighting the “gamechanger” nature of the Capitol Square project and the impressive progress made at the C-WC Chamber in the last three years under Tim James’ leadership. Blackstone predicts continued growth and development in the area over the next decade.
The C-WC Chamber, which now boasts over 400 members representing 278,000 employees, is poised for even greater success in the coming years.
