Christmas in Cayce kicks off tonight

Get ready for a festive start to the holiday season as Christmas in Cayce kicks off Thursday night, November 30th!

The Cayce Tree Lighting ceremony promises enchanting moments with performances by students from the Cyril B. Busbee Creative Arts Academy Band and the Riverbank Elementary School Chorus. Adding a touch of community spirit, the Woman’s Club of Cayce will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items before and after the tree lighting. These donations will support Cayce Cares, benefitting local families in need through God’s Helping Hands and the Scooter Scott Project.

On Friday, December 1st, immerse yourself in the holiday spirit at Carols Along the Riverwalk. From 6 pm to 8 pm at the Naples Avenue Entry to the Cayce Riverwalk, local musicians will serenade attendees along a half-mile stretch. The Riverwalk will be aglow with luminaries, creating a magical ambiance for this unique reverse caroling event. Enjoy complimentary refreshments while soaking in the sounds of the season.

The celebration continues on Saturday, December 2nd, from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Cayce Historical Museum with “Christmas Traditions: Olde & New.” Explore the museum’s exhibits and delight in Christmas trees adorned by local community groups, including the Cayce Arts Guild. Live musicians will spread holiday cheer throughout the building, and Santa’s Workshop will be in full swing. The festivities include a lantern tour showcasing Christmas traditions spanning the last 300 years of Cayce’s history, a European-style Christmas Market, and demonstrations of traditional trades at Christmas. Don’t miss the opportunity for family selfies with the decorated caboose and REO Speedwagon firetruck. Light refreshments will be available at the 1749 kitchen.

Christmas in Cayce promises something for everyone this holiday season, creating lasting memories for families and friends alike!
