The 4th Annual Night Before Christmas at Edventure Children’s Museum will be held December 15 from 6 – 9 pm.
Ynotu2 Inc., a Vocational Rehabilitation – Job Skill Development program, will be partnering with WFMV 95.3 and Adams Foundation to provide an educational fun holiday experience for disadvantaged families in the Midlands. This event was created to give disadvantaged youth around Columbia, who rarely have the opportunity, to experience the exhibits the museum holds during the holiday season.
Kids get to explore the museum, there will be vendors, several giveaways, face painting and toys.
Last year 600 kids between the ages 3-12, members of their families, volunteers and members of various organizations attended this event. There are currently over 800 kids registered to attend. With a capacity goal of 1200.
“It is our hope that by allowing these kids to experience Ed Venture it will, open their mind to the possibilities, beyond their current situation and inspire them to think bigger,” said Kimani Davis Founder of Ynotu2.
Night Before Christmas also allows the families, friends and mentors who attend the opportunity to spend quality time with the kids, doing something educational and fun.
The event is free with registration through nightbeforechristmas18.eventbrite.com for more information about Ynotu2 Visit www.YNOTU2.org. The Edventure Children’s Museum is at 211 Gervais Street in Columbia.
