A pair of state champions at Gray Collegiate Academy added to their award collection.

Ashley Boulware (softball) and Molly Turner (cheer) were named Class 2A Athletes of the Year in their respective sports by the S.C. Coaches Association of Women’s Sports.
The organization held its annual banquet on June 8 at Brookland Baptist Church in Cayce.
As a freshman, Boulware set a school record with 19 home runs to go with 40 RBIs and 21 stolen bases in leading the Lady War Eagles to a second state title in three years. The senior Turner helped Gray Collegiate claim its second straight competitive cheer title.
Other local winners included Meredith McEnulty (volleyball) of Gilbert, Emily McMahan (swimming) of Dutch Fork, Ava-Claire Collins (Chapin girls lacrosse) and Taylor Graves (cheer) of Chapin.
