Gray Collegiate wins girls’ track and field title

Add a third state title won this school year by Gray Collegiate Academy.

This past weekend saw the girls’ track and field team edge Bishop England to win its first-ever Class 2A title.  

A year after finishing second to the Lady Bishops, the Lady War Eagles were boosted by first-place finishes by Aubrey Gray (100-meter hurdles), Tresta Miller (400 meters) and Tamara Steward (400-meter hurdles).

The Gray Collegiate boys team also had three first-place finishes in placing fourth overall. Caleb Raysor swept the hurdle events (110 and 400 meters), and the War Eagles won the 4×100 meter relay.
