The Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber and Visitors Center Board of Directors voted unanimously to name Tim James as President and CEO.
“Tim is leading us in a direction that will benefit our local businesses in new ways,” says Thomas Tafel, Board Chair.
James has served as Interim President and CEO for the past 3 months.
James said he is ready for the opportunities ahead as social media, tourism, and partnerships are moving to the forefront of popular marketing tools in addition to traditional forms.
“The new Visitors Center website is a game changer,” he said.
The website, www.visitcaycewestcolumbia.com, is intended to attract people to vacation in the area. It also offers staycation ideas for local citizens. The Chamber and Visitors Center has been rebooted this week with more active committees under Tim’s leadership.
“We look forward to these exciting opportunities to engage our community,” Tafel said.
