Cayce, SC – The Cayce Fire Department will host a free Prescription Drug Take Back Day this Saturday, August 3, from 10 AM to 11 AM. The event will be held at The Modern Locksmith, located at 538 Knox Abbott Drive in Cayce.
Residents are encouraged to bring their unwanted, unused, or expired medications for safe disposal. In exchange for the medications, participants can receive a free snow cone from Pelican’s Snoballs, while supplies last.
Accepted Items:
- Prescription Medications (Schedules II-IV, controlled and non-controlled)
- Over-the-counter (OTC) medications
- Liquid medications (in original packaging if possible, or less than 4 oz in a ziplock bag)
Not Accepted:
- Schedule I drugs
- Needles and syringes
- Medical devices and batteries
- Aerosol cans and inhalers
- Chemicals
- Mercury-containing devices
