The City of Cayce has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. This recognition highlights the city’s commitment to outstanding financial management and transparent reporting.
The GFOA’s award acknowledges innovative programs that set high standards in government finance. Cayce’s report was evaluated by an impartial panel and met the award criteria by demonstrating a “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the city’s financial position.
Interim City Manager Jim Crosland remarked, “This achievement is the highest recognition for governmental accounting and financial reporting. Our finance team’s dedication to accuracy and transparency in managing taxpayer funds is commendable, and we are honored to be recognized for our efforts.”
