Making the impossible possible

Dr. Jed N. Snyder

Do you remember a time when you really wanted to be strong but instead it was as though you fell flat?

Frequently, when we are faced with some challenge, especially an emotional or spiritual challenge, we find our resources are inadequate. In the Bible in the New Testament we are given a way to succeed in these difficult times. Please notice what this passage tells us: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” Ephesians 6:10

We are expected to be active in seeking strength. But we are to seek the needed strength from the Lord. Kirk Franklin composed a little piece to help express the greatness of our God.

“Our God is an awesome God. He reigns from heaven above. With wisdom, power and love our God is an awesome God.”

It is the strength of the Lord which we seek. His power is a mighty power. In the first verse of the Bible we are told that “God created the heavens and the earth.” Recently developed telescopes tell us that our galaxy, the Milky Way, has millions of stars. Yet we are also told that it is one of millions of galaxies and very likely it is one of the smaller ones. Those of us who know this God as our Heavenly Father must bow in humble worship at His greatness.

When we think of making the impossible possible, think that our God can hear and answer the prayers of billions of people all at the same time. For us that is impossible. It is difficult for many of us to concentrate on two or three things not hundreds or so many more. Our God is truly an awesome God.

Happily watch and enjoy the impossible becoming possible because God in involved.
