City of Cayce Police Department is to be the first law enforcement agency in South Carolina to have a Mending Tree, created by DJJ staff and students. Today the tree was unveiled and victims who were present felt supported, loved, and expressed how thankful they are to have not been forgotten. The support from all community members and leaders present was strong and the department voiced appreciation to everyone for helping to make this event a huge success.
The Mending Tree allows Cayce to express care for victims, at a whole new level and reminds us to never stop pursuing justice on behalf of ALL victims. The Mending Tree will be a permanent fixture of the department and anyone/everyone is encouraged to add a ribbon to it at any time.
