Toys for Tots "Fill the MRAP" campaign underway (Page 226)

Chief Terrence Green is announcing to the Town of Lexington community that our annual Toys for Tots “Fill the MRAP” campaign has begun and will continue through December 14, 2021, with donation events planned at the Lexington Police Department, Learning Express, Target at Lexington Pavilion, and Walmart.

As in years past, the objective for this year’s Toys for Tots campaign will be to fill our Emergency Services Team (E.S.T.) MRAP vehicle with toy donations. Unless needed elsewhere, the MRAP will be at each planned donation event listed below.

Toys for Tots events will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

Monday, November 29, 2021 Learning Express - 5175 Sunset Boulevard Suite #12
Wednesday, December 1, 2021 Walmart – 5556 Sunset Boulevard
Monday, December 6, 2021 Lexington Pavilion – 5119 Sunset Boulevard
Tuesday, December 7, 2021 Walmart – 5556 Sunset Boulevard
Wednesday, December 8, 2021 Lexington Pavilion – 5119 Sunset Boulevard

Monday, December 13, 2021 Lexington Pavilion – 5119 Sunset Boulevard
Tuesday, December 14, 2021 Learning Express - 5175 Sunset Boulevard Suite #12

On the Learning Express donation event days, the store will give a 25% discount for toys purchased for Toys for Tots along with a 25% off “Comeback Coupon” to be used in January. Learning Express is also planning on donating $500 of toys towards our campaign.

Toys for Tots donations are being accepted at the Lexington Police Department at 111 Maiden Lane in Lexington during business until Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

All cash and check donations made during the Toys for Tots “Fill the MRAP” campaign will be used for shopping sprees with Chief Terrence Green and Community Action Team officers to purchase additional toys for the Marines Toys for Toys Foundation.

Follow along with Toys for Tots “Fill the MRAP” updates on the Lexington Police Department Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
