Local facilities holding Holiday Tennis Racquet Drive (Page 261)

The United States Tennis Association of South Carolina is coordinating a statewide Holiday Tennis Racquet Drive, in which people can drop off new and lightly used adult and junior racquets at participating facilities.

Anyone can donate racquets. The deadline is January 15.

The equipment will go to people in need, including beginner players and South Carolina National Tennis & Learning (NJTL) chapters, which provide free or low-cost youth tennis, education and life skills programming. People can also make a cash donation to South Carolina NJTLs.

Midlands residents can drop off racquets at Wildewood Country Club in Columbia; Rawls Creek Tennis and Swim in Irmo; The Windermere Club in Blythewood; and Country Club of Lexington.

For more information, go to sctennis.com/racquetdrive.
