West Columbia Post 79 opened the South Carolina American Legion Baseball Senior playoffs at Summerville Post 21 on Wednesday.
Game Two is scheduled for Thursday at its new home Pelion High School. Post 79 played all of its regular-season games at Brookland-Cayce High School.
Game Three, if necessary, will take place in Summerville.
West Columbia (7-9) finished the regular season with a 2-game losing streak. This left it tied for 3rd place in League II with Lexington Post 7, but Post 79 won the season series tiebreaker to reach the playoffs.
Summerville (9-5) finished in second place in League I behind defending champion Florence Post 1. The two teams opened the season against each other, splitting the two games.
Post 21 won the season-opener 12-0 with Post 79 on June 1. Post 79 got revenge with a 10-2 win two nights later.
The winner of the series will face either Florence or Chapin/Newberry Post 193/24 in the second round.
