COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Orchid Society will host its 2026 South Carolina Orchid Society Show and Sale April 10–12 at the Garden Council of Greater Columbia Building, located at 1605 Park Circle in downtown Columbia near the University of South Carolina.
The annual show will feature thousands of blooming orchids presented by societies and growers from across the Southeast. More than a dozen accredited judges will be on hand, with cash prizes and national awards presented to top entries.
Event highlights include:
- Multiple vendors, including orchid growers from the Carolinas as well as sculptors, potters, and jewelry designers showcasing orchid-inspired workPublic Safety, Events
- Open classes on April 11 and 12 at noon and 2 p.m., covering topics ranging from beginner-friendly “Orchids Are Easy” to detailed care and maintenance
- “Ask the Expert” opportunities throughout the show for personalized plant care advice
- Special exhibits from the Ikebana Society featuring traditional Japanese floral arrangements
Admission is $5, with free entry for children under 12. Each paid admission includes $5 in raffle tickets, which can be used to win prizes such as blooming orchids, gift certificates, supplies, books, and care guides.
Show hours:
- April 10: 1 – 6 p.m.
- April 11: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. (classes at noon and 2 p.m.)
- April 12: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (classes at noon and 2 p.m.)
The venue is located at the corner of Pickens and Blossom streets in Columbia.
