The Lexington County Sheriff’s Foundation presents the 2nd annual Shoot Out sporting clays tournament November 8 at the Palmetto State Armory Shooting Facility in Swansea.
The event is open to the public and features cash prizes for the top three teams and the best individual shooter.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that raises funds in order to purchase needed items and equipment for the men and women of the Sheriff’s Department that is not allocated for in the annual budget.
“Events like this clay shoot, the Jailbreak Escape and our annual awards banquet are ways the public can get involved and help the Sheriff’s department,” said Bin Wilcenski, Chairman of the Foundation. “This is a great event, and we hope to have many participants this year.”
The Shoot Out tournament will start at 9:30 am November 8 with breakfast for participants. They’ll then head out on the course at 10 am and try to hit as many clay pigeons as they can out of 50 per person across multiple stations. Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon will be on the course and will shoot with all participants. After the shoot is done, there will be lunch and then awards for the top three teams and best individual shooter.
