The City of Cayce is proud to announce the appointment of Jonathan E. von Moltke as the new Assistant Chief of the Cayce Police Department, bringing more than a decade of diverse law enforcement, training, and leadership experience to the role.
Assistant Chief von Moltke has served in law enforcement since 2012 and is a U.S. Army veteran with an extensive background in investigations, training, tactical operations, and organizational leadership. Over the course of his career, he has held positions including investigator, training instructor, sergeant, Field Training Officer Manager, and advanced instructor with the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. His experience spans criminal and administrative investigations, internal affairs, property and special victims’ crimes, homicide investigations, and large-scale training program development.
In addition to his professional experience, von Moltke has invested heavily in education and professional development. He holds an Associate and Bachelor of Business Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, and is completing a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership.
Cayce Police Chief, Dr. Bruce Wade said von Moltke’s leadership and commitment to professional standards make him a strong addition to the department’s command staff. “New Assistant Chief von Moltke brings a rare combination of investigative expertise, training excellence, and servant leadership,” said Chief Bruce Wade. “His dedication to integrity, transparency, and accountability aligns perfectly with the values of the Cayce Police Department.”
Assistant Chief von Moltke said he is honored to serve the City of Cayce and its residents in this new role and looks forward to continuing the department’s focus on professionalism and community engagement.
