The home going service for Mr. Boyd Jones will be at 10 A.M. Thursday May 5, 2022 at Turner Memorial AME Church, 1122 Monticello St, West Columbia. Burial will be at Ft. Jackson Cemetery at 12 Noon. Rev. Kenneth Taylor announced the service schedule.
Jones is a former West Columbia City Councilman. He lost his life in a car accident that occurred on Garner’s Ferry Road in Richland County, early Saturday morning. Boyd represented District 5 on council. His last term ended in 2018. The seat is now held by Mickey Pringle.
