Governor’s School to host virtual events

The Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) is hosting Preview Days, Shadow Days, Ambassador Q+A sessions, and Find Your Element sessions this fall for prospective high school sophomores and their families. To attend any or all of these events, students should register online at www.scgssm.org/visit.
Preview Day is a virtual open house event that will provide prospective students and parents with a chance to meet faculty, staff, and current students who will guide you through what it means to be a Govie. Guests will have an opportunity to ask questions, take a virtual tour of GSSM, and learn more about life at GSSM.

• When: November14 and December 5
• Time: 10 am – noon
• Location: Zoom

Shadow Day is an opportunity for prospective 9th and 10th-grade students to learn more about GSSM during the academic week. Virtual Shadow Days are offered to students who have completed or will complete the student portion of the application during the 2020-2021 academic school year. Students will get to virtually shadow a GSSM student to get a real hands-on experience of life as a Govie.

Ambassador Q+A is an opportunity to get insight from a current Govie. Join the Ambassadors for a Facebook live Q&A session to learn more about what makes GSSM an opportunity of a lifetime.

• When: November 12 and December 3
• Time: 6:30 – 7:30 pm
• Location: Facebook Live

Find Your Element: Virtual Tour of GSSM & Information Sessions gives you the chance to take a virtual tour of GSSM. An Enrollment Counselor will host the session to share important information followed by an Ambassador led tour and interactive Q&A.
