CAYCE-WEST COLUMBIA – September 15, 2025 – The Greater Cayce–West Columbia (CWC) Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Programs has announced the promotion of Christina Nelson to serve as Interim CEO and President beginning January 1, 2026.
After an extensive search process led by a Board-appointed committee of Chamber and tourism stakeholders, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to select Nelson for the role. The committee spent months refining a job description and seeking candidates across North and South Carolina before recognizing the strength of its own internal candidate.
“After an extensive search, our Board recognized the many qualities possessed by our internal candidate and are proud to see our program remain on the trajectory that has brought us many successes,” said Lindsey Miles, Chamber Chair.
Nelson has served the Chamber in a variety of roles over the past four years and will spend the remainder of 2025 working alongside current CEO/President Tim James. In January, James will transition to the role of Mentor–Past President, providing support during Nelson’s leadership transition.
“I am so excited to be offered this opportunity, one that will allow me to continue to serve the area that I love and call home, while also being in a position that allows me to positively impact our business community,” said Christina Nelson.
