Lexington One Educational Foundation Awards Fall 2025 Michelin Golden Apple Teacher Grants

LEXINGTON, S.C. (September 22, 2025) — The Lexington County School District One Educational Foundation has awarded 16 Michelin Golden Apple Teacher Grants to educators across the district this fall. The $7,480 in grant funding will support innovative classroom projects benefiting 2,243 students in 11 schools.

Fall 2025 Michelin Golden Apple Teacher Grant recipients:

Through Michelin North America’s continued generosity, teachers may apply for up to $500 each fall to create learning opportunities not typically covered by school budgets. This year’s funded projects include:

  • Hands-on STEM activities to build problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • A 3D printer and supplies for designing prototypes and animal prosthetics.
  • “Jumble Jam Ready to Play” kits to explore ocean sound waves and vibrations.
  • Materials for a Robot Challenge Board and a field trip to an industry partner to study robotics in action.
