Lexington Two names new assistant principals

Lexington Two has announced the hiring of two new assistant principals.

At its board meeting August 6, on the recommendation of Superintendent Dr. William B. James Jr., the Lexington Two Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Brenton Coe as assistant principal at Brookland-Cayce High School and Anna Unversaw as assistant principal at Northside Middle School.

Coe most recently served as assistant principal at South Florence High School in Florence School District One. Prior to that, he served as district liaison in the Title One Office in the Darlington County School District and as a physical education teacher at Dewey L. Carter Elementary in Florence School District One. He received a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University, and a master’s degree and Ed. Leadership certification from Coastal Carolina University.

Unversaw has been a teacher at Northside Middle School since 2017, first in social studies and most recently in English Language Arts. Prior to that, she was a teacher at E.L. Wright Middle School in Richland Two, W.A. Perry Middle School in Richland One and Chestnut Oaks Middle School in Sumter School District. She received bachelor’s, master’s and M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina.

The hiring of a third new assistant principal in Lexington Two, Roderick M. Fluellen II at Cayce Elementary, was announced in June.
