The owners of Hollow Creek Distillery are sharing their newest spirit. Owners Craig and Meredith Amick may have spent the last year expanding and remodeling, yet all the while, their newest spirit rested comfortably in a toasted oak barrel soaking in the essence and aromas that complete the palate of the four-year-old bourbon.
The first bourbon coined in the family name, William Alan pays homage to both sides of the family lineage as well as the family’s legacy of nine generations in the Leesville region.
Driven by faith, family and hard work, Amick chose to represent the brand by tying past generations of the Amick family, with the future of the family in his son’s name, William.
The start of Batch #1Pre-Sale event will begin this Saturday, October 16, running from 10 am to 7 pm, and carry on during regular operating hours until the initial reserve is sold out. Visitors are welcome to stop by to grab a limited edition, a custom engraved bottle of William Alan, sample the full line of spirits, enjoy a cocktail and pre-view the renovations. Guests can also shop with Stoney Creek Cigars, Duck Dad Flags and EW Carvings from noon to 4 pm.
The significance of the launch ties in with Breast Cancer Awareness month and serves as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign. Amick was approached by fellow small business owner Michael Wanco, of Bolder Engraving to collaborate on an event that would promote cancer awareness and advocacy while raising funds. A portion of every pre-sale bottle will be donated. The various fundraising events of the Real Men Wear Pink campaign are set to run through the end of the year.
Guests are encouraged to visit during normal business hours: Thursday, 1 pm – 7 pm; Friday and Saturday, from 10 am – 7 pm and to watch for exclusive opportunities and special events on the Facebook page.
