ColaJazz Fest returns September 24 – 25 (Page 195)

The fifth annual ColaJazz Fest will takes place September 24 and 25. It is a weekend celebrating local and national jazz stars.

September 24 will be a gala featuring two concerts inside the main lobby of the South Carolina State Museum. Tickets are $50 per person for general admission and $85 for VIP. September 25 is an all-day event that costs $20 per person and features five bands, food trucks and more. The music ranges from blues, Latin, gypsy, swing, fusion, groove to straight-ahead jazz. Tickets are available at ColaJazzFest.com.

Founded in 2014 by Mark Rapp, the ColaJazz Foundation (ColaJazz) is dedicated to growing, supporting and promoting jazz in the Midlands through events, education, recordings, resources and advocacy. A Governor Award-winning, community-minded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ColaJazz brings world-renowned jazz educators and performers face to face with students and the public offering diverse and exciting experiences. ColaJazz produces an annual season of programs and events including the ColaJazz Summer Camp, ColaJazz Fest, Live in the Lobby (Koger Center for the Arts), ColaJazz Presents (South Carolina Public Radio), Rapp on Jazz (South Carolina Public Radio), after-school curriculum, and more.
