WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Pine Ridge Middle School volleyball team captured the Lower Midlands Athletic Conference Championship on October 18, capping off an impressive season for the Yellow Jackets.
Entering the tournament at Airport High School with a 10–2 record and second place in the conference’s West Division, Pine Ridge earned a first-round bye before defeating William J. Clark Middle School and Fulmer Middle School to reach the title match.
In the championship game, the Yellow Jackets faced off against Guinyard-Butler Middle School, the undefeated East Division champion. The match went three sets, with Pine Ridge emerging victorious to claim the championship title.
The team is led by Head Coach Kylee Williams and Assistant Coach Skylar Lacey Outzen.
