REEMERGE provides job opportunities for formerly incarcerated

REEMERGE is seeking individuals who have been incarcerated and are now looking for employment. This open call for employees will be held this Friday, February 1, from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm at 1515 Richland Street in Columbia.

Any individual who has been formerly incarcerated, is registered with SC WORKS and is now seeking employment is invited to attend and apply. Applicants will be screened for employment onsite.

REEMERGE is a 6-12 month reintegration program that uses employment, coaching, and entrepreneurship education to assist in combating the barriers of reentry. The REEMERGE staff coordinates all job placement and work experience. After a year of employment, business training and professional coaching, the participant is then ready to continue on with gainful employment within that industry.

REEMERGE is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency.
