Washington, DC – Congressman Joe Wilson issued the following statement on the recent terrorist activity in the United States:
“The FBI defines ‘domestic terrorism’ as “Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.’”
“Our country is experiencing an ongoing war with those who would do us harm. Just over the last few days cowardly incidents and would-be attacks took place on American soil. ISIS-inspired evil struck and killed innocent Americans celebrating New Year’s in New Orleans. A possible terrorist incident took place outside a Trump hotel property in Las Vegas. A suspect has been detained when the FBI disrupted a possible plot to threaten or kill employees of a major, national pro-Israel organization in Florida.
“Led by President-elect Donald Trump, House Republicans and the new Republican majority in the Senate are looking to 2025 and the 119th Congress with a commitment towards advancing a conservative agenda to Make America Great Again.”
“I have long stated that the moral fabric of America has been damaged by four years of Biden/Harris policies resulting in dangerous open borders, crushing inflation, organized antisemitism on campus, a woke mentality encouraged, a failure to lead globally, and more.
