The Christopher Conner Foundation has announced it is hosting Goin’ South: A Tribute to Southern Rock at the Icehouse Amphitheatre May 13, 7-10 pm.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Christopher Conner Foundation which provides healing through music programs, educational scholarships, and medical and hardship grants for SC-based musicians and their families.
The Goin’ South band will begin playing at 7:30 pm. Goin’ South is known for covering rock and roll classics made famous by bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, .38 Special, and more.
The foundation is offering sponsorship packages which include priority seating, early admission, a meet-and-greet with the band, and access to a VIP lounge and private sponsor bar. Packages can be purchased on the foundation’s website, www.connerfoundation.org.
The concert is appropriate for all ages and food trucks will be on site. General admission tickets can be purchased through the foundation’s website or directly from the venue at www.icehouseamphitheater.com.
