Veterans Recognition Night with the “Blowfish”

The Lexington County “Blowfish” Baseball Club, members of the Coastal Plains League, will hold their 3rd annual Veterans Recognition Night on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the stadium located at 474 Ballpark Road, Lexington SC 29072. Festivities will begin at 6:20 PM. Based on the growth of the event from past years, well over 100 area veterans of foreign conflict are expected to attend.

Each veteran and a guest will receive complimentary reserved seat admission to the baseball game featuring the Blowfish and their archrivals, the Macon “Bacon” from Macon, GA. Additionally, veterans will be provided with a complimentary “ballpark” dinner consisting of hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, drinks, desserts and more. They will have exclusive use of the private air-conditioned clubhouse banquet room for the extent of the event. Veterans will have opportunity to participate on the field in a pregame ceremony of recognition of their service to America, including a military color guard with pledge of allegiance, national anthem, TAPS, and the inspirational “Fallen Comrade” ceremony.

Veterans may RSVP and reserve 2 complimentary admission tickets for the event by contacting Kyle Calhoun at the Lexington County Blowfish Office @ 803-254-3474 or email to: [email protected].

A postgame fireworks show will take place just after the final out is recorded in the baseball game. The evening promises to be a patriotic celebration of these local American Heroes on a weekend of celebration of Independence Day and the birth of our nation.

Don’t miss your opportunity for an evening of family fun and entertainment celebrating America’s Game and recognizing these men and women who have given so much protecting our freedom and way of life.
