Veterinary Care Center has been a veterinary clinic serving the Cayce/West Columbia community’s pet needs for over 30 years. Dr. Alan Harris, who started the practice back in 1987, recently retired and Dr. Marion Floyd, originally from Holly Hill, SC, purchased the practice located at 2925 Augusta Rd. in West Columbia.
Dr. Floyd’s fascination with the human-animal bond and the many forms that it can take led him to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian from an early age. Graduating from The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, Dr. Floyd has worked in various small animal, mixed animal, and emergency clinics over the past few years. He is looking forward to settling down roots in the community, continuing Dr. Harris’ legacy of providing veterinary care and advice with a personal touch tailored to individual pet and owner’s needs, while expanding services and availability to offer comprehensive veterinary services for companion animals.
