Levi Ball is headed to Spartanburg for the Carolinas Classic.

The preseason Elite Senior selection out of Gray Collegiate was selected to the South Carolina All-Star Game facing North Carolina on March 19 at Dorman High School.

Following the announcement, Ball helped the top-ranked War Eagles solidify their first-place hold in Region 4-4A. They completed season sweeps of their closest competitors in the standings.

Last Tuesday, they rallied from a first-quarter deficit to defeat North Augusta 54-46.  Ball led Gray Collegiate with 19 points and Luis Echevarria added 10 points in pulling away in the second half.

Gray Collegiate returned home Friday and rolled past Brookland-Cayce 86-57 Friday. It was the War Eagles’ 14th straight win and improved it to 10-0 in the region with four games left.

This was the second straight region loss for the Bearcats (15-7, 6-4). They were tied with Midland Valley for third place having split the two meetings.

Brookland-Cayce faced Aiken Tuesday and Gilbert Friday before visiting North Augusta Feb. 10.
