The Gray Collegiate Academy boys basketball team looks to separate itself from its Region 4-4A rivals.

Tuesday’s 102-47 win over South Aiken was the top-ranked War Eagles’ 8th consecutive victory. They are 12-2 overall and 5-0 in the region heading into the MLK holiday weekend.
Among the teams looking to stay close with Gray Collegiate is Brookland-Cayce.
The sixth-ranked Bearcats rebounded from last week’s loss to the War Eagles with two straight wins over Aiken (69-59) and Gilbert (62-14). On Friday, the Bearcats play host to North Augusta in a battle for second place in the region.
The Brookland-Cayce girls picked up their first region win under new head coach Terrance Gibson. They defeated Aiken 42-33 last Saturday to snap a 10-game losing streak.
