During National Small Business Week in May, the South Carolina Small Business Administration (SBA) District Office held a Salute to Small Business Matchmaker Event & Awards Ceremony in Columbia. The mission of the event is to connect the state’s small businesses to new opportunities and resources and to honor South Carolina’s top small businesses and small business advocates.
This event was attended by more than 200 Small Businesses. The Forest Service Acquisition Team David Mitchell, Mark Miller, Kelly Updegraff, Briana Chalmers and Cynthia Roberts met individually with 42 of those small businesses.
“Building relationships with these small businesses is vitally important in the Forest Service mission of ‘Caring for the Land and Serving People.’ We are thrilled to be awarded Procurement of the Year in South Carolina,” said David Mitchell, Acquisition Team Lead.
