Fishing is HOT on Lake Murray Tournaments Return This Month (Page 232)

The weather may be cooler but the fishing is still hot on Lake Murray!

The Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board welcomes two fishing tournaments this month to Lake Murray. The Carolinas Bass Challenge Classic and Major League Fishing’s Phoenix Bass Fishing League Regional Championship will take place in the next two weekends.

The Carolinas Bass Challenge Classic will take place on October 22-23, 2021. Two hundred fishermen are competing with the weigh-in’s being held at Dreher Island State Park. For more information about this tournament, visit carolinasbasschallenge.com/.

Major League Fishing’s (MFL) Phoenix Bass Fishing League will compete on Lake Murray on October 14-15, 2021. The weigh-ins will also take place at Dreher Island State Park. More information can be found at majorleaguefishing.com/events/.

Major League Fishing also announced this week that the 2022 Phoenix Bass Fishing League will compete on Lake Murray next spring on May 7, 2022. More information will soon be available on this event.
