Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the victim in a fatal shooting incident that occurred at the Abbott Arms Apartments in the 2000 block of Wilkinson Street, Cayce, around 11 pm on December 11. The victim, Travis Antwan Fuller Jr., 19, of Columbia, lost his life after sustaining gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched, and Fuller was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Fuller succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. An autopsy to determine the exact cause of death was scheduled for December 13 at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston.
The Cayce Police Department, in collaboration with the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. The community is urged to come forward with any information that may assist in the ongoing investigation.
