LEXINGTON, S.C. – A West Columbia man faces multiple drug charges after the Lexington County Narcotics Enforcement team discovered drug-making materials and pills inside his residence.
Shawn Lashiek Thompson, 39, has been charged with two counts of manufacture and distribution of cocaine base, trafficking cocaine base, and trafficking fentanyl, according to arrest warrants.
“Agents executed a search warrant at a home in West Columbia for a man with an outstanding arrest warrant for distribution of cocaine,” said Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon. “Inside the home, agents found 56 grams of pills containing fentanyl, 37 grams of cocaine base, four grams of cocaine, and materials used for the manufacturing of cocaine.”
Thompson was arrested on June 26 at his home on Allendale Dr. He is currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
The Lexington County Narcotics Enforcement team continues to crack down on drug-related activities in the area, aiming to keep the community safe from the dangers associated with drug trafficking and distribution.
