River Bluff High School graduate Caroline Yaman’s artwork was selected for the College Board Art and Design Digital Exhibit.
Yaman completed the work as part of her AP Photography class last year, taught by RBHS Center for Media Arts Teacher Carlee Myers.
For the exhibit, which will be released in November, students create a portfolio of work to demonstrate inquiry through art and design, and the development of materials, processes and ideas over the course of a year. Portfolios include works of art and design, process documentation and written information about the work presented.
Yaman’s art depicts the tragic cycle of child abuse. Through her research on the topic, Yamen related a child trapped in the cycle of child abuse to someone trapped in a funhouse at a carnival.
