COLUMBIA — Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina (JAGSC) has received a three-year, $75,000 commitment from Colonial Life to support its JA Finance Park Mobile program.
JA Finance Park is Junior Achievement’s capstone initiative for personal financial planning and career exploration. Through a combination of classroom curriculum and hands-on simulation, students learn to manage income, expenses, savings, and credit, helping them build a foundation for lifelong financial decision-making.
“Because of Colonial Life’s commitment to education, high school students across South Carolina will be able to experience JA Finance Park,” said Casey Pash, President of Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina. “These students will forever remember the day they had to research, budget for different categories, and live as adults. Partners like Colonial Life understand that teaching these skills early strengthens our communities for the future.”
Marie McGehee, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for Colonial Life, added, “Partnering with Junior Achievement allows us to bring financial literacy to life for students. Through the Finance Park Mobile experience, students gain practical money management skills and learn how to navigate the choices that come with financial independence. This effort gives young people the confidence and knowledge to make smart financial decisions.”
