Firefighters Discover One Dead, Another Injured in Lexington County Blaze

On Sunday, July 21, firefighters in Lexington County responded to a fire on the 200 block of Oak Ridge Lane. Upon arrival, they made a tragic discovery: a body inside the burning home. Further investigation led to the finding of a man with multiple injuries in a nearby shed.

The injured man is currently receiving medical treatment and is expected to recover from his wounds. The man found dead in the burning home on July 20 at 200 Oak Ridge Lane has been identified by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as Caldwell Melton Motley of Lexington. The name of the second man found with injuries in a shed on the property has not been released. He was transported to a trauma center for injuries.
