It’s a “Super Saturday” for River Bluff and Gray Collegiate Academy teams competing for state
titles.

At 10 a.m. at the Cayce Tennis Center, the Lady War Eagles will face A.C. Flora for the Class 4A
title. Gray Collegiate advanced Tuesday following a 4-1 victory over Hilton Head Island in the
Lower State final.

The Lady War Eagles are making their first-ever appearance in the final. The Lady Falcons are
seeking their third state title in school history and their second straight final appearance after
losing to Bishop England last year.

Over at noon, the Class 5A volleyball final will take place at Dreher High School. River Bluff will
face defending Division I champion Dorman High School.

The Lady Gators upended nemesis Wando in four sets (28-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-23) in the Lower
State final on the road. It’s the second state title appearance for River Bluff, who lost to the
Lady Cavaliers in 2021.

Dorman looks to claim its 17th state title, breaking the tie with Pickens for second most behind
Bishop England.

The Lady Bishops returned to the state championship with a 4-set win at Gray Collegiate
Tuesday in the Class 4A Lower State final. They won the first two sets 25-20, 25-18 before the
Lady War Eagles answered with a 25-22 win in the third set.

Gray Collegiate looked to extend the match after rallying to within 20-19 in the fourth set. After
holding off three match points, the Lady War Eagles ended up losing 25-22.
