Riverwalk Rabbit Run 5K March 30 (Page 109)

The inaugural Riverwalk Rabbit Run 5K, organized by the Greater CWC Cares Foundation, is set to take place on March 30 at 9 am. Participants are invited to either run or walk along the scenic route by the Congaree River and through the Cayce-West Columbia Avenues. Following the race, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids, although participants are reminded to bring their own Easter baskets.

Funds raised from the event will go towards supporting the mission of the CWC Cares Foundation, which aims to benefit the Lexington County 2 and 4 School Districts, as well as local businesses in the Greater Cayce-West Columbia area.

The event will kick off at 9 am at Stone River, located at 121 Alexander Road in West Columbia, where participants can check in. Those interested can register online at www.strictlyrunning.com via Strictly Running.

Tim James, CEO of the Chamber, expressed excitement about the event, describing it as a fantastic opportunity to support local students who are the future leaders of the community while enjoying the beauty of the local area.
