Share the Warmth with coat collection drive (Page 316)

You don’t have to be a fan of Game of Thrones to know that winter is coming. It’s in the air, fogging up the window panes and biting at noses and hands. And that means coats and warm accessories are needed in the community. Mast Store is ready to Share the Warmth in all its communities with its 14th annual coat collection drive November 1-30.

Partner Columbia Sportswear shares in the drive with their tenth year of donations of new coats and jackets to be distributed among Mast Stores. Each store will have a collection box where it will accept donations of clean, gently used items such as fleeces, coats, jackets, and other appropriate outerwear—gloves, hats, scarves, blankets, etc.—to be shared among our community partners. In most of our communities, there is a greater need for children’s coats and coats in sizes XXL and larger.

This year’s donations are being shared with several partnering organizations that are devoted to doing good in our communities. The new Columbia outerwear in children’s sizes will go to Epworth Children’s Home which provides quality care to children suffering neglect, abuse, or loss. Adult sizes will go to Transitions, a local provider of basic needs and personal development services to the homeless.

For more information about Share the Warmth, call your local Mast Store at 803-771-2300.
