COLUMBIA — The City of Columbia invites the community to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Finlay Park on Saturday, November 15 at 10 a.m.
The weekend celebration marks the revitalization of one of Columbia’s most beloved landmarks, featuring new spaces for recreation, entertainment, and community connection.
Mayor Daniel J. Rickenmann, City Councilmembers, City Manager Teresa Wilson, Assistant City Manager Henry Simons, community leaders, and partners will take part in the reopening ceremony.
Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy a full day of live music, local food, and family fun during the Jam Room Music Festival, featuring local, regional, and national performers throughout the park.
Festivities continue on Sunday, November 16, with the Day Two Festival from noon to 8 p.m., filling downtown Columbia with the sounds of gospel, funk, brass, and folk music. Food vendors and new park amenities will be available throughout the day. Both events are free and open to the public.
