State Museum announces best in show awards

The State Museum has announced the “Best in Show” awards, selected from the new 30th Anniversary Juried Art Exhibit, now open in the Lipscomb Art Gallery. The exhibit is comprised of more than 60 pieces of work selected by previous State Museum Art Curators. Artists from all over South Carolina submitted more than 400 pieces for consideration.

“This exhibit showcases recent work by some of South Carolina’s best artists,” said Amy Chalmers, State Museum art curator. “It is a diverse, exciting exhibit, featuring both well-known and less-established artists.”
