On Thursday, August 15th, Triangle Pharmacy & Home Medical Equipment celebrated its Grand Re-Opening, marking a new chapter in its long-standing history within the Triangle City community.
Originally founded in 1953 by pharmacist Jennings Stroud, Triangle Pharmacy quickly became a local staple. The business was later passed down to Jennings’ son, Larry Stroud, PharmD., who successfully ran the pharmacy for many years. As Larry steps into retirement, Triangle Pharmacy has now been acquired by the McHugh Pharmacy Group, an independent chain of pharmacies in South Carolina and North Carolina owned by Kyle and Pamela McHugh.
The McHughs, who have over 20 years of experience operating local pharmacies, are thrilled to bring their expertise to Triangle Pharmacy. The Grand Re-Opening event was a festive occasion, featuring catering by neighboring business True BBQ, a live recording of The Afternoon Drive with Keven Cohen on 100.7 FM The Point, and a grand prize drawing for a Yeti cooler. Approximately 60 people attended, enjoying free food, prizes, and health screenings.
Looking ahead, Triangle Pharmacy is excited to introduce new services, including a drive-thru and free prescription delivery, enhancing convenience for its patients.
